“The hottest new release of the Twenty-First century is the Nineteen90s. With modulators, drums and various types of guitars is Milwaukee’s sound of the Nineteen90s. The group’s music seems like a blend of soft grunge and electric pop. Their release, ‘NO TV NO NEWS’ tells us all about itself; heavy fuzz on the vocals, lots of twang in the instruments, loose verses and loud choruses. It’s an upbeat sound mucked with distortion and delay pedals. The effects on the album give you a hazy feel while the drum beats add an energetic buzz, (like the accelerated dizziness from drinking too much coffee and the grey haze from a summertime rain.) It all comes from Wisconsin’s Nineteen90s’ latest release: ‘NO TV NO NEWS.'”
