about

"for those of you who haven't been following Trauma Harness too closely, the idea of an all synth album may raise an eyebrow or maybe both of your eyebrows. but if you snagged a copy of Turkey Tom's Mix Tape (a steaming selection of synth covers) or have jammed on tracks like "Blue Flames," you know what kind of damage these fellas can do with a few square waves and a click track. in 'Pain, Defeat, Death, & Revival', Trauma Harness spins a gooey, pop-drenched web to ensnare elements of chiptune, new wave, and industrial, only to suck the blood out of them with their razor sharp punk rock fangs. songs like Skybar and Mass Contusion give me that same feeling i got ten years ago listening to gil mantata's party dream and going to charlie slick shows - so sickeningly sweet that you think you'll puke but when you do, it's going to be all rainbows and sunshine. there's plenty of melodrama in songs like LIFE and my personal favorite - Ignition Key, while songs like Earth Link and Running Through the Baricades will actually inspire you to be a better person. in true punk fashion, all songs have been kept under the three minute mark, which is likely going to make you wish there were twice as many songs. the only one that doesn't prescribe to this is the grand finale - Grove by Grove - which kind of sounds if like donna summer's 'bad girls' were written on a steady diet of psilocybin, pizza partying, and late night cartoons. i think you have a real unique opportunity to impress all of your friends and loved ones with the best cyber/rocknroll/whatever bands this side AND that side of the mississippi. you can count on these dudes to never let you down."
