"I'm really excited to be introducing you to Pyramidal's latest release, Come Home. It is the AD follow up to 2013's excellent Change Of Heart. His first album was one of my favorites from the early days of the label and it's been a real treat to dive into this new creation. You can really feel the artistic growth and maturity here. The formula is relatively the same. Subtle, drifting synths and field recordings mixed with a driving yet relaxed beat. However, it feels like so much more this time. The music really pulls you in. Almost as if you become a part of the sounds and transform into an unseen observer on an intimate personal journey through time, space and scenes of varying beauty. I know this album is going to be getting a lot of play time from me. I hope you can spend some quality time with it as well. Enjoy!"

"A word from the tail-end of 2016 sure to lighten what’s shaping up to be a pretty dismal new year: Pyramidal’s warm and transportive sophomore effort Come Home, on Already Dead Tapes. Come Home is about as fantastic a collection of downtempo beats and atmospheres as you could hope for, with its own striking and meticulous production. “On a Park Bench” and “Life and Upbringing” mesh tactile crackle with field-recordings to awesome effect, creating a soundscape with the feel of a lazy urban tour. The cosmic dialogue on “Flowers and the Moon” and hair-raising strings on “Never Eat Breakfast” are contemplative, and not in the occasionally perfunctory let’s-sample-educational-films-from-the-60s-and-be done-with-it sort of way. The slow swirls of synth wash in “Moral Sense” is as integral to the song’s mood as the sample and the beat, and before you hear the hauntological voice on tape, you already feel that vague sensation of nostalgia for the unreal. We’re left dazed with the sidereal closer “Come Home,” lighting up like a beacon on the horizon. It’s an exquisitely comfy album, with great textural sensitivity; imagine all your favorites meshing together, essentially. More like this, please!"
