about

"Italy's CRTVTR is some strange, yet wonderful combination of post-hardcore, shoegaze and post-rock. In one moment reminiscent of the best elements of At The Drive-In or Bear Vs. Shark, and in another akin to This Will Destroy You or God is an Astronaut, the group uses these influences to create a sound uniquely their own.

'Streamo' is CRTVTR's second full length and a natural extension of 2014's 'Here it comes, Tramontane!'. Where '...Tramontane!' felt like the boys were marching off to battle, 'Streamo' finds the group in the thick of it, bruised but not beaten, with bursts of aggression that propel the album forward. 'Streamo' has an even greater dynamic range than it's predecessor, with "Untold", a near ballad, being a perfect example of the band branching out of their norm and successfully covering new territory. Conversely, tracks like "I Could be Her" and "Soil Guerilla" find the group at their heaviest to date, fully embracing their Washington post-hardcore influences.

From the opening line "Wake up!" on the album's first track "A.M.", to the crunching guitars and harsh screams that wrap up album closer "Soil Guerilla", it's evident that CRTVTR are painting a dense narrative that finds them collectively at their best and most experimental."
