"Comfort Food return triumphantly with their 3rd full length and their 2nd release on Already Dead. Anyone that's had a chance to see them live over the past few years knows that they have really been coming into their own lately. The duo has gone from writing interesting compositions to completely OWNING them. They now have a profound confidence allowing the music to explode with creative and spontaneous energy. Something usually lacking in Math Rock oriented bands. Another rarity is how well this energy is captured in the studio. Producer Alex Borozan has done an exemplary job of showcasing a band at their prime. Every track grooves and bites in sonic perfection.
Daniel Wolff and Jake Marshall have created a highlight in the AD catalog and we're very proud to release it. Don't sleep on this one. Take home yr own copy of this Future Jazz masterpiece today!"

A personal, effective work from two of my favorite artists right now. Textures weave back and forth to suggest struggles, acceptance, denials, fear, and celebration all at once. A wonderful album. wc_helmets
So happy to see a new album from this band. I've long been a fan of Mazurek and Parker's work in Tortoise, on top of the CUQ... Anyhow, if you're curious about contemporary jazz, this is a terrific place to start.
